A Prophetic Lesson on: "Stand"

[1 Corinthians 16:13; 2 Thessalonians 2:2-15]

Why are you struggling and why do doubts arise in your heart?  Have I not told you and warned you of all that you see? [Amos 3:6-11] You supposed that these events were for another time and place and removed yourself from the possibility that you would ever face this level of opposition to the truth.  [Amos 6:2-7] You have been caught off guard and now you desire to flee—to recapture a moment of peace—a better time and place.  [Psalm 11:1-4] Consider that I have ordained that you be born into this time and this season and have equipped you for such.  Your struggling is an indicator that you are fearful and do not know what to do. [Esther 4:14]

Listen to Me.  Nothing will happen to you that I do not allow.  I will use you mightily in the final frontier. [1 Chronicles 4:10]  You must abandon your ideas of how things should be or look.  Your ideas have become your boundaries.  In Me, the only boundary is My will.  The things that must be endured, and the things that must be done, can only be accomplished by that one who knows Me and knows who they are in Me. [Psalms 78:9-11 & 21-22; John 16:33] You must stand even if no one stands with you; you must stand even if no one else understands; you must stand even if no one else sees the need.

To what then must you look?  I came, not only to give you life, but to also show you the way into powerful living.  If I did it, you can do it because I Am in you. [John 14:12-14] Your self-doubts are restraining My Spirit within you.  Self-consciousness and shame only apply to those who are not forgiven.  You think that you have tried to walk as I walked—but how long did you try?  Did you truly believe that you could follow my footsteps? [Psalms 85:13]

Discouragement often comes when you are hurting in your flesh.  Some perceived need goes unmet and you stop, paralyzed, until you get what you think you need, to do, what you think you need to do.  You are always trying to appease your flesh thinking that you are seeking for spiritual growth.  The greatest growth, and the greatest gathering of strength comes when you have learned to forget about the flesh and totally rely on the strength that comes by way of My Spirit.  I would not be helping you to remove all the woes of your flesh.  But you must stop focusing on what is undone in the realm of the flesh and learn to lean entirely upon me. [Isaiah 30:15-17; 2 Corinthians 12:7-10]

Your ability to stand is directly connected to your ability to be propped on Me.  I Am not asking you to stand on your own.  I Am inviting you to stand with Me.  I Am the reason that you will not fall.  You attempt to "try out" the support system to see if it will work for you and find that you falter and fall.  Why?  Because the strength to stand only comes to the one who has totally committed themselves to My care and keeping. [Psalms 37:5; Proverbs 16:3; 1 Peter 5:6-7]

Things are coming upon the earth that will only be endured by those who are resting in Me.  They are standing in the eyes of the world but the truth in the Spirit is that I Am supporting them. [Exodus 14:13-14; Romans 14:4]

You cannot be committed to Me and have your affections divided.  Your love for the world makes it your only defense and strength.  As such, you are trying to be sustained by the very one who is trying to destroy you. [1 John 2:15-18; Hebrews 13:5-6]

Reject his voice when he tries to make you believe that he is for you or that he is a reflection of who you really are.  If you have been bought with My blood then your desire is My will in you.  If you are not listening to Me you will follow the deceiver who will make the road easier for you for a season.  But this road leads to destruction.  Forsake not the Word that is planted in you.  Listen to Me; follow Me; lean on Me and STAND. [James 4:7; Ephesians 6:11-14]

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. NKJV

2 Thessalonians 2:2-15

3 Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God. 5 Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, 10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. 13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. Amos 3:6-11

6 When the war trumpet blares, shouldn't the people be alarmed? When disaster comes to a city, isn't it because the LORD planned it? 7 "But always, first of all, I warn you through my servants the prophets. I, the Sovereign LORD, have now done this."

8 The lion has roared — tremble in fear! The Sovereign LORD has spoken — I dare not refuse to proclaim his message!

9 Announce this to the leaders of Philistia and Egypt: "Take your seats now on the hills around Samaria, and witness the scandalous spectacle of all Israel's crimes." 10 "My people have forgotten what it means to do right," says the LORD. "Their fortresses are filled with wealth taken by theft and violence. 11 Therefore," says the Sovereign LORD, "an enemy is coming! He will surround them and shatter their defenses. Then he will plunder all their fortresses." NLT

Amos 6:2-7

3 You push away every thought of coming disaster, but your actions only bring the day of judgment closer. 4 How terrible it will be for you who sprawl on ivory beds surrounded with luxury, eating the meat of tender lambs and choice calves. 5 You sing idle songs to the sound of the harp, and you fancy yourselves to be great musicians, as King David was. 6 You drink wine by the bowlful, and you perfume yourselves with exotic fragrances, caring nothing at all that your nation is going to ruin. 7 Therefore, you will be the first to be led away as captives. I trust in the LORD for protection. So why do you say to me, "Fly to the mountains for safety! 2 The wicked are stringing their bows and setting their arrows in the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those who do right. 3 The foundations of law and order have collapsed. Esther 4:14

9 The warriors of Ephraim, though fully armed, turned their backs and fled when the day of battle came. 10 They did not keep God's covenant, and they refused to live by his law. 11 They forgot what he had done — the wonderful miracles he had shown them,

21 When the LORD heard them, he was angry.  The fire of his wrath burned against Jacob.  Yes, his anger rose against Israel, 22 for they did not believe God or trust him to care for them. NLT

John 16:33

33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." NLT

John 14:12-14

12 "The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.  13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father.  14 Yes, ask anything in my name, and I will do it! 13 Righteousness shall go before Him and shall make His footsteps a way in which to walk. AMP

Isaiah 30:15-17

15 For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. But you would not, 16 And you said, No! We will speed [our own course] on horses! Therefore you will speed [in flight from your enemies]! You said, We will ride upon swift steeds [doing our own way]! Therefore will they who pursue you be swift, [so swift that]

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

7 And to keep me from being puffed up and too much elated by the exceeding greatness (preeminence) of these revelations, there was given me a thorn ( a splinter) in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to rack and buffet and harass me, to keep me from being excessively exalted. 8 Three times I called upon the Lord and besought [Him] about this and begged that it might depart from me; 9 But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! 10 So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses; for when I am weak [in human strength], then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength). 5 Commit your way to the LORD,

Trust also in Him,

3 Commit your works to the LORD,

1 Peter 5:6-7

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. NKJV

Exodus 14:13-14

13 Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest. AMP

Romans 14:4

4 Who are you to pass judgment on and censure another's household servant? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he shall stand and be upheld, for the Master (the Lord) is mighty to support him and make him stand. AMP

1 John 2:15-18

15 Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things] — these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself]. 17 And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever.

18 Boys (lads), it is the last time (hour, the end of this age). And as you have heard that the antichrist [he who will oppose Christ in the guise of Christ] is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen, which confirms our belief that it is the final (the end) time.

Ephesians 6:11-14

11 Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. 13 Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]. 14 Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, 15 And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. 16 Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]. 17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.
