Prophetic Lesson on “Fig Leaves”
11-20-2015
The yearning of your soul is an indication that you have not fully accepted the sacrifice for your sins and your reinstitution into the divine plan and purpose. The human spirit longs to redeem itself apart from the I Am. It still seeks to justify the decision to rebel against the divine order. No amount of punishment, failure or frustration will convince the unchanged human spirit that the road of separation from the creator leads to destruction. There continues to be the rationalization that the right cure or fix is just waiting to be found. Like the fig leaves of the fallen couple, your devices seek to cover your shame, but cannot, any more than their fallen souls could be hidden from my presence by the work of their hands. My offer to give you rest is met with suspicion by the carnal mind. And so you continue to struggle because you cannot admit that your way is wrong.
The Law was given to teach that even a clearly stated set of rules cannot be kept and will be repeatedly broken because of the weakness of the flesh. Faced with this dilemma some clung more strongly to it and became experts at duplicity—outward obedience coupled with inner debauchery. Others chose to rebel fully from it and seek to set up their own rules that they thought they could keep. These became experts at deception—both of their own selves and of others.
The original couple did not immediately cry out to God for help and forgiveness but rather chose blame and denial. Now that the Christ has appeared and offered Himself as the sacrifice that would cover the fallen there are still many who prefer to continue to live in denial and blame trying to find their own way out of the darkness of shame.
You are faced with the choice. You have chosen to recognize the Christ as your Savior but you must also now choose to lay down all other devices and ways of being that you employ to try to find satisfaction and rest for your soul.
As the pressure around you increases you will either allow yourself to be fully secure in the covering of the Cross of Christ or you will be led into temptation by the desire to continue to pursue your own idea of what makes things right.
Come now. Allow Me to clothe you fully with Myself. Repent of your evil, self-seeking ways and find the all sufficiency that is found only in Me.
